The private sector is increasingly aware that sustainable production and community development need to be at the core of corporate strategy and day-to-day operations. Based on the imperative that ‘true impact’ is only achieved through consensus, compromise and cooperation, Google Food Lab (GFL) and the International Trade Center (ITC) in collaboration with the Future Food Institute, the Business School Lausanne and the Googlers Give Global Leadership Program and with the support of Nestle, Barry Callebaut and the Food Inspiration Magazine, would like to join forces with companies to empower and connect the Ghanaian cocoa farmers through a shared value sustainable cocoa supply chain platform.
FEEDING FAIR took place on September 22nd and 23rd, 2015 inside of Expo Milano. It gathered local and international food experts and startuppers, and got them to co-create innovative ideas to solve issues surrounding malnutrition.
Zero Hunger Games
On May 5th and 6th, 2015 the Future Food Institute and the Food Innovation Program hosted a food hackathon dedicated to food insecurity – Zero Hunger Games: hack for good, hack for change. It took place at the Food Innovation Program headquarters, inside Officucina in Reggio Emilia.

On the 3rd and 4th of October in 2014, Alce Nero and Amnesty International, together with Internazionale, ran a hackathon focused on earth, food and land rights inside Ferrara’s Palazzo Savonuzzi.
Future Food Institute in partnership with Alma Graduate School, held a hackathon on food services and catering on May 8th and 9th, 2014. It took place in Villa Guastavillani in Bologna, and was the second installment of Bibimbap.
On the 11th of April, 2014 as part of Milan Design Week, Future Food Institute in partnership with Alce Nero undertook a speedhacking event dedicated to organic food.
